We were warned that Federalism would lead to the disconnected and tyrannical behemoth that is Washington DC today. From Jefferson to Henry. From Cato's Letters to those of the Federal Farmer.
Anything by Patrick Henry is golden. This is a great source if you wish to see what the other side thought about the Constitution.
This book illustrates how far we have drifted into waters that our founding fathers had worried about.
The poor review is for the condition of the book, not the content. This book arrived with the wrapping torn badly on the lower right side, which caused the book to be damaged at the same point, From the bottom corner to midway up the right {open} side, the book was in terrible shape. I recieved an e-mail from this seller, asking me to post a poditive feedback; I simply could not do that.
Most other books about our Nation's founding and the aggressive public debate, don't provide definitive references in historical context nearly as well.Get both: "The Anti-Federalist Papers"; and "The Federalist Papers"You'll be better informed of the Founding of the U.S. The introduction and explanation of the research and content is a must to understand the competing ideas that founded our nation. An amazing read. This "Signet Classic" references the sister Signet Classic "The Federalist Papers".
